About Alludio
sealed compact discs
Alludio finds, documents, photographs, and sells sealed CDs with retail provenance. Each copy is treated as a small physical record: the wrapper, sticker, case, catalog details, and open questions all matter.
Why sealed retail copies
A sealed CD can still carry the retail moment around it: a price sticker, a date, a security tag, a hype sticker, a shop code, or simply the absence of proof. Those clues do not make every copy rare, but they can make a copy legible.
We show that context before offering a copy, so each page can say what is known, what is inferred, and what remains uncertain.
The documentation promise
Each listing is built from the object in hand. Alludio records the sealed condition, photographs the copy when owner images are available, separates album-level facts from copy-specific facts, and leaves unknown fields blank.
The standard is public: how condition is described, what a sticker can prove, and when a copy earns a classification. Read the standards
Kept quiet until it is not
A sealed copy holds two ideas at once: preservation and use. Alludio respects the wrapper as evidence, but the music is still the reason the object matters. The choice to keep it sealed, place it with someone else, or eventually play it should be made with clear notes in front of the listener.
